Quick Hit: Blue Jays 6, Yankees 0

The Yankees couldn't finish off the series sweep and dropped the last game of the three game set to Toronto. The Yanks were shut out for the tenth time in 2023, and this was the 30th contest in which they either scored zero or one run. The team now heads to Kansas City for the last series of the 2023 season.

All the kids had hits tonight. Florial showed off his elite speed. Gomez got the last 2 innings and did OK, but I do believe he is out of options, so either he stays on the roster or he gets exposed to waivers.

Right now, Cabrera is on my bench, with whatever catcher is not playing that night. Florial to me, is my starting CF at least until Dominguez is ready to play the field regularly. Why go sign a veteran as a stopgap when I have Florial here already? But I still have LF open so I would consider the right big contract guy, let it be Bellinger by free agency, or a Soto or a Trout by trade. The bigger question is, if no trade or signing is made, does Pereira start the year in the Bronx or back in AAA?

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
