QUICK HIT - RED CRUSH

July 4, 2024

***

I know there are some that want to say the Yankees aren't in trouble, but if they aren't, please explain how they aren't.

They lose day after day after day after day.

The Yankees are 5-14 over their last 19 games. As good as they were to start the year, they're just as bad, if not worse now.

It's ugly. It's bad.

Coming at 5:00 p.m. a special Readers' Thread requested by Alan.

Paul I think what a lot of Yankee fans are forgetting is that 1st and 2nd year mayor league players are inconsistent at best. This along with seasoned major league players not hitting or pitching , injuries add up to a lot of ups and downs I am hoping with some moves at the trade deadline, players getting healthy on both the major and minor league rosters the Yanks can turn this around. The Yanks won lost record is still very good. Hopefully things will turn around and the Yanks go on a winning streak

Yanks hit 3 HR’S and 3 Doubles lose to Reds 8 to 4. Davis has been a bust . Cashman needs to acquire talent both a hitter and pitching starting and a lights out closer not from the garbage heap if the Yanks are going to win it all

Replying to

Davis has gone 1-for-13 with the Yankees. It's such a surprise that a guy DFA'd by the second-worst team in the League would be so disappointing.

It's BAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!

Plus not much alternatives in the minors for a bunch of reasons, and mainly because too many guys are hurt. Dominguez, Pereira, Beeter, Durbin. Spencer Jones strikes out much too much to really warrant a call up to AAA, and Ramirez hasn't quite adjusted to AAA pitching. With Ben Rice and Austin Wells here, there is no room for T.J. Rumfield, who is ready for his shot. The AAA bullpen? Please. Prospect Jack Neely and Cashman & Co. never really liking Marianaccio IMO, and Effross isn't ready either.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
