I did surrender too. I was at the game and I left the game after the bottom 7th inning ended with the Orioles leading 8 to 3. Missed the Judge 57th home run in the 9th inning. For any consolation prize I got the Derek Jeter bobble head to bring home.
I didn't surrender. The Yankees came close to coming all the way back. If the Yankees could have continued to hold the Orioles when they were at 5 runs most of the game, they would have come all the way back and gotten ahead of them with the 7 runs they did score. If I were managing the team, I would have taken Stroman out after the first inning, since he doesn't pitch well when his team is behind in the score, and I would have put Cody Poteet in at that point. Heck, when Stroman loaded the bases while surrendering 4 consecutive hits to start off the ballgame, I may have taken him out even then. Poteet has…
