Quick Hit: What Me Worry? Yanks Score 15 (Again)

by Paul Semendinger

***

Well, on Saturday, the Yankees scored 15 runs and on Sunday, they did again.

On Saturday, Aaron Judge homered. On Sunday he did again.

In his last two games, Aaron Judge is 5-for 8. What's there to worry about?

Anthony Volpe homered on his birthday today. Every single time Anthony Volpe has started at shortstop for the Yankees on his birthday, he's homered. (Look it up...)

The Yankees have won 7 of 9 series to begin the year.

Jake Bauers pitched a scoreless 9th for the Brewers. He was throwing about 65 MPH. I throw about 65 MPH. I also throw way more strikes than Mr. Bauers. If the Yankees are worried about the luxury tax and they need pitchers, I'd come cheap. I'd even pay them! This is something we can work out, I am sure. (Give me a call Yankees. It's the smart move.)

Tomorrow the Yankees take on the Orioles to begin a big series. That should be fun. On Wednesday, I'll be at the game at Camden Yards. That should be great fun!

It's a new baseball rule. The first team to score 15 runs, is declared the winner.

Just remember, Norfolk (BAL AAA) absolutely destroyed in the IL until SWB came to town. So let's just keep plugging, not assuming anything. Burnes will pitch in this series and the last time we saw him, he no hit the Yankees for 10 innings. Hopefully, by resting Holmes, he will be ready for some heavy use over the next 4 games. Remember, for the most part, when the O's hitters come up, they are ready to rake, or quickly sent back down. Cowser is ready now. Westburg, who was moved to 3B because of Holiday, will be playing a lot more 2B, his natural position. Remember, only 13 games against the O's, so I wouldn't mind a 4 game…
