Jazz Chisholm homered. That was good.

Will Warren threw 6 scoreless innings allowing only two hits.

The not-so-good, the Yankees went 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position.

Giancarlo Stanton who should not be batting fourth, went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Full recap in the morning from Tim Kabel.

Small nit-pick: Warren went 5 innings, not 6.

If you throw out Warren's dud against the Dodgers, his season ERA is 3.42.

Replying to

in his 5 starts after the Dodgers game

he's allowed 9 runs in 28.3 innings

which, I estimate, is somewhat lower than 3.42

I don't believe in giving games away when wins are especially hard to come by.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
