Well, for one night, at least (maybe there will be more soon), the Yankees' bats exploded.

This guy they have who plays centerfield, Aaron Judge, had two hits including a home run.

Carlos Rodon got the win. Jose Trevino closed it out. Wait... What? :)

Yankees Win. Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankees WIN!

Rodon looked like a guy who was determined to perform well.

the imitation CFer continues to patrol the pasture in a manner that gives no obvious indication of injury.

Yes, and we had TWO CATCHERS as batterymates! And then you had THREE catchers all together. Jose Trevino pitching to Gary Sanchez (and giving up a double to him) with Austin Wells catching behind the plate. That hasn't happened too often, if at all, in baseball history. A true "CatcherFest". I suppose if Jose Trevino has any defensive pointers to share with Austin Wells, this was a great way for Trevino to evaluate him.

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
