It looks like Austin Wells is going to be Marcus Stroman's personal catcher now. To show their solidarity on the team, and as part of their bonding as batterymates, whenever Wells catches Stroman, they always wear matching durags in those games.

one night, Gil's ERA goes up to 2 point something

next night, Rodon's ERA goes down to 2 point something.


and now Rodon and Lugo are tied for the AL's best W-L record

it's not all that clear that Skubal is pitching any better than Gil.


the numbers are very close, with Gil, early on, giving up far more walks than Skubal,

but also giving up far fewer base hits
