my main impression is that Stroman looked a little too good

and it's going to lead to temptation

to send him out to start for a second time.

.... instead of just sending him out of town.

sending him out once was a gamble

and it paid off

sending him out again is akin to leaving your winnings on 22 Black

for an additional spin

I don't think one outing against a Triple-A team is going to sell another GM on Stroman. They bet on 0 and won, bot now they have to put their chips on 00 (and hope for some green relief).

Stroman gets another start, and this start gets most of the fans off his back. But if Cam Schlittler continues to pitch the way he has the since hitting Triple-A, and with Luis Gil, I'm guesstimating to start a rehab assignment on the weekend before the ASB, so.... he just might be audition pitching for another team. I don't see him keeping the spot over Gil, as I can't see Stroman repeating today's start the next 4 or 5 times out.

and it wasn't as close as you might think from merely seeing the final score.

at the point where a pitcher is nearing the end of his allotted number of pitches

AND is working with a more-than-substantial lead

it is probably better to give in for a single base than to give up a four-base hit.

what's the run expectancy of scoring from first base?

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
