Rachel Balkovec – Organizational Hitting Coach for the Yankees
The Yankees just announced that they have hired Rachel Balkovic to be a full time hitting coach in the organization. Balkovec is one of the first women hired to be a full time hitting coach by any big league team. Previously Rachel Balkovec was the first woman to hold a full-time strength and conditioning position in all of professional baseball. She is breaking down barriers because of her great skills, knowledge, and abilities.
The Yankees just hired themselves a visionary and a true winner.
Let’s take a look at the impressive professional resume of Rachel Balkovec:
2012 – Hired as a strength and conditioning coach (St. Louis Cardinals)
2014-15 – Promoted to Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator (St. Louis Cardinals)
2016 – Latin American Strength and Conditioning Coach (Houston Astros)
2018 – Strength and Conditioning Coach (Corpus Christi Hooks – Astros AA affiliate)
2019 – Hitting & Pitching Mechanics Coach (Driveline Baseball)
Rachel has also worked with the Chicago White Sox, the Dutch National Baseball and Softball teams, and various colleges and universities including LSU.
