I must admit I wanted the Yankees to lose last night just to force ownership's hand. Will it make a difference? Probably not. I too am a lifer Yankee born in the Bronx, ten blocks from the Stadium at Jerome Ave. and 170th street. I am disgusted at this point and the only way back out of the wilderness is a complete overhaul. We need a new front office and a new field manager, both with fresh ideas. Gabe Paul saved the franchise once before with his wisdom and judgment. Maybe we can find someone like that again and give them carte blanche. It's all up to Hal at this point.

I am similarly a lifelong fan, but a small part of me recognized that getting eliminated was the only way we'd even consider fixing what's wrong. Gotta hit rock bottom before you can recover.

I'm a lifelong Yankee fan, born and raised in Brooklyn, now living in Pennsylvania. I was actually rooting for the Astros, last night, just to end the torment, and knowing, that if the Yanks did manage to win the game, no way could they take the next three. I just didn't want it to go on any longer.

The Least Among Them.png

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

—Jonathan Eig, New York Times best-selling author of Luckiest Man, Opening Day, and Ali: A Life

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
