JV high school baseball, first game in its second year of existence and having not won a game the previous year: I hit a three-run double to help win our first game ever.

The Jewish Little League had to make a rule because of me. None of our parents wanted to coach our Little League team, but were willing to take their turns driving us to the games. So one of my friends in Shabvat afternoon groups asked the new Youth Director, 'Can Alan be our official Coach?' Not only did the League say no, but they made a rule that any Coach must be of age & having a full and real Driver's License, so no learner's permits. Years later I became friendly with a guy who became the Head of the League and he actually was laughing when he came across that rule and they listed our Shul (Synagogue) as the…
