The Yankees have now won four of their last five games?

No, of course not. The Twins and Cardinals are two, bad teams who were sellers at the deadline. Beating up on the weak sisters is indicative of nothing meaningful. Let's see them take 3 of 4 from the Red Sox; then maybe I'll believe they are back (and then only if they've also taken 6 or 7 of 9 from the Rays, Nats and ChiSox, too) and prepared to be competitive in the 12 games with the Astros, Jays, Tigers and Red Sox again during the first half of September.

It's too early to tell. I'd feel better if they overtook Toronto, but I am encouraged that they're scoring more runs without relying on homers.

Slow your roll. They also won a bunch of games between my birthday and Paul's. Right now, just hope this is real.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
