For today's Readers' Thread, place yourself in the seat of the General Manager of the Yankees.
Assume you can make only one move this season. You can address a specific position, trade for a starting pitcher, or stand pat (hey, after all, the team is rolling).
If you can only make one move, how do you address this team?

well I think you were intending for people to make a choice pick ONE position player or ONE pitcher and say who they would trade for if they were BC and they could make only one move. maybe I did not understand? but if I did, not a single person has given an actual answer to your question.
my first thought is that IF only one move is allowed, the team will have to make due with the current top scoring team in MLB, get by with Jazz, Peraza, Vivas, and DJ playing 2b and 3b, or bring up a hitter from AAA or AA
that means get a pitcher. I guess most would go for a starter, but wha…
Not yet ready to make a move, but there are several minor league promotions and moving guys around down there that I want to do right now, so I get a better idea of what I need to seriously look to do at the ASB right up until the trade deadline. My first bunch of moves are promote Cam Schlittler to AAA; Bryce Cunningham, Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz, & Josh Gosz to AA; Griffin Herring up to High A. Oh, and Jesus Rodriguez has got to start at 3B three or four times a week. Maybe find someone like Scott Brosius, or another former solid defensive 3B to work with him specifically on his defense at 3B too. Then, besides Beeter and…
Given the unfortunate situation with Cabby, they need to add a third baseman.
Suarez very possibly will be available at the deadline. Peraza or Vivas can substitute defensively in late innings.
The consequences of not adding a third sacker are too horrifying to consider. LeMahieu will move there when Jazz returns. And “Boonie” will play him Every. Single. Day.
Fire Aaron Boone!
