This is not a "make a predication on his stats" post.

Rather, it's a question on what type of season each reader sees Anthony Volpe having in 2025. Will Volpe continue to slowly improve as a hitter? Will Volpe stay an excellent defender? Will Volpe steal a lot of bases? Or will Volpe disappoint again with his bat?

You can make a prediction on his stats, if you'd like, but, overall, in general, what do you see Volpe's 2025 season looking like?

I think he takes a step forward both offensive and defensively. Becomes a 4/5 WAR player.

I would think that his defense is pretty much a finished product.

there might be a slight chance of improving his throwing, but his glove and range likely are as good as ever they'll be.

lotta room for his offense to improve. he and the team are still trying to figure out his proper place in the line-up and there's been confusion and experimentation and insufficient satisfaction

Volpe has reached his ceiling. He is and always was overrated.

Yeah, just like all those other major leaguers who peaked at age 23!

Continued growth as a hitter. I doubt both a major leap forward and any steps backward.

sit and try, as I might, I honestly cannot come up with any realistic idea of what to expect. I am hopeful and I do not think we are without reason to hope or believe that he can become a more valuable offensive player

sadly, I do think we have seen enough to know that it was a mistake to pass on multiple likely future HOFers who were available while Volpe was in the minors- Lindor, Seager, Turner- I dont see Simien at the same level, but he is pretty clearly a better player than Volpe likely becomes. finally, no matter what Volpe does to improve, I think we can feel confident he never reaches the level of Witt an…

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
