"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."

The Yankees have won two of their last three games. David Bednar looks to be the real deal as the closer. Aaron Judge is back in the lineup. Luis Gil pitched well...

Are things starting to turn around for the Yankees? Might the worst be over?

NO! Along with the bullpen bow up, the starters (Fried) are stinking as well.

No. This is a return to the We Play Today; We Lose Today sub-.400 teams of recent years.

At this point how about just winning back to back games? Or maybe a series?

Minnesota and St. Louis are next on the schedule. If the Yankees have turned the corner they should make hash out of those two teams. Then come two with the Rays, four at home against the Red Sox, three with Washington and four on the road with the White Sox. The next 20 games (including today) will tell the tale. I do not believe we can make any conclusions about a turnaround because Bednar has been solid and the team has won two of the last three. Boone is still in the dugout and the mysterions in the shadows are still running their analytical mumbo-jumbo.

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
