The A-Rod Top 10 – #2

by Owen Hetherington

“3000, History with an Exclamation point!”

(June 19, 2015)

Days following Rodriguez’s 2,000th career RBI, he delivered his 3,000th hit in the most dramatic fashion possible.

In the first inning against the Detroit Tigers, Rodriguez crushed a solo home run off Justin Verlander to record yet another career milestone. All but only two other players to hit 3,000 hits have been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame (Barry Bonds and Rafael Palmeiro).

Rodriguez finished his career with 3,115 hits and sits 22nd on the all-time hit’s leaderboard.
