Everyone needs to gather the facts of the Padres roster before keep talking of what you're willing to trade to them. The Padres don't have MLB ready pitching. They don't have even prospects that will start '24 in AAA. They don't have OF prospects ready to be even in High A. Plus dealing with all their long term contracts, any salary dump insistence, will lower the prospects going back. Plus if they really were looking for a $100M loan, and MLB only let them take a $50M one, does anyone think that the Padres won't be under the gun to trade this guy before January 1? I do. It's the easiest way to push their payroll down, besides not resigning…
