Whether we are talking about Stanton, or different guys they count on rebounding, or back to their norm, one thing that we need to keep in the forefront of our mind is Brian Cashman. Cashman doesn't like to ever admit he is outright wrong, so what is normal or a logical move to us, is almost a no to Cashman for simply his stubbornness.
As for the kids, I see Dominguez on an active coming out of the ASB. And unless there are massive injuries up here, he will be in SWB, and be there past the trade deadline unless there is a trade. As for Warren, he really does move the ball around - especially up and down. ā¦
Talking about prospects, I rate third baseman Tyler Hardman higher than Spencer Jones right now. Hardman was named the Eastern League Player of the Week THREE TIMES last season, including being named Eastern League Player of the MONTH in July. He has led the Eastern League in home runs, runs, total bases, and was also among the leaders in slugging percentage and third in OPS. He posted THREE multi-homer games last July, including a three-homer effort on July 1 at Bowie and two-homer games on July 20 at Hartford and July 28 vs. Bowie. Over one stretch of 10 games in July, Hardman scored a run in each game, the longest active streak in MiLB. He also hit .400ā¦
Excellent podcast. Paul and EJ, two pitcher acquisition names that did NOT come up when you were discussing the most likely pitchers who you can see the Yankees acquiring this off season. One of them is Yariel Rodriguez, for whom there is a similar competition for his services to the one for Yamamoto. Another possibility is the rumored trade for Shane Bieber. Rumor has it that the Guardians are looking to trade Bieber and that a reunion of Bieber with Matt Blake could possibly rejuvenate Bieber's career and restore the former Cy Young Award winner to the pitcher he was in 2020 when he won the American League pitching triple crown (8 wins, 1.63 ERA, 122 strikeouts) as thā¦
