The Tuesday Discussion SSTN Predictions (Ethan Semendinger)
Ethan Semendinger is here with the undoubtable, absolutely accurate, and 100% guaranteed to come true predictions for the 2021 MLB and New York Yankees season. Or, at least, he hopes so…
What will the 2021 Yankees’ win/loss record be?
The 2021 Yankees will win 91 games and lose 71 games en route to a 0.561 winning percentage.
What is your prediction for the 2021 Yankees? (First place, second place, losers in ALDS, World Series champs, etc…?)
The 2021 Yankees will take 1st place in the AL East and make the World Series as the American League representative, beating the Chicago White Sox in the ALCS. If they face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, they’ll lose. If they face any other NL team, they’ll win and be the World Series champs.
The Yankees will trade this player during the season.
The likes of Miguel Andujar, Domingo German, Oswald Peraza (minors), and Luis Gil (minors) will not make it past the 2021 Trade Deadline as members of the Yankees organization.
The Yankees will acquire this player during the season.
In trading one German, the Yankees will pick up another in German Marquez (Colorado Rockies). The price on Luis Castillo will be too high for them to hit with their current farm, thus they go for a lesser starting pitcher arm to help the team.
Who will lead the team in hits?
I’m still holding true that Clint Frazier is going to become a complete player in the MLB in 2021. He’ll be given consistent at-bats in the top-half of the line-up and he will (barely) beat DJ LeMahieu with leading the Yankees in hits.
Who will lead the team in home runs?
I’m going to hope (and pray) for a complete and healthy season out of Aaron Judge. If he does so, he’ll easily pass 40 Home Runs which is a mark only Giancarlo Stanton has a chance to sniff.
Which pitcher will win the most games?
The Yankees invested $324 Million into a pitcher, the consensus 2nd best across the MLB, last offseason. If he does not lead the 2021 Yankees in wins in 2021 there was likely a major problem. On that same vein…
Will any Yankee win a major award (Rookie of the Year, MVP, Cy Young)?
Gerrit Cole will be the American League Cy Young award for the first time in his career. With this, the Yankees will have 4 players receive AL MVP Votes in the aforementioned Gerrit Cole, Aaron Judge, Clint Frazier, and DJ LeMahieu, however none of them will place higher than 3.
Deivi Garcia will also receive some down-ballot AL Rookie of the Year votes, but ultimately finish 5th.
