This just might be our greatest feature ever.
EVER!
This will be a great feature because it is here that we will be highlighting the best ball players in the world – YOU, our readers, and your families.
It’s here that we’ll share your photos and memories. It’s here that we’ll tell your stories.
My mom throwing her fastball to my dad at the Field of Dreams.
That’s my mom, at 76 years old, in the photo above throwing her fastball to my dad at the Field of Dreams. That is what baseball is all about.
The true heart of the sport isn’t in the famous players, it is in each of us – the fans who play (or played) the game. The heart of baseball is in us; the people who treasure it in our hearts.
WE ARE BASEBALL.
(And baseball is us.)
In this new feature, we want to celebrate the true legends of the sport – each of you.
It will be here, in this feature, that we can highlight your greatest memories, your greatest moments, and ways in which the sport touched you.
Please send us your photos and stories of when you played the game. Tell us the tales of your greatest softball seasons, Wiffle Ball games, or baseball moments. (Maybe you can share stories from all of those.)
Send us pictures of when you had your first catch with your daughter or son.
Tell us about that most wonderful game you played with your dad. Or your sister.
Or your next door neighbor.
Let’s take the time to celebrate the legends and the stories that we made.
We are baseball.
Let’s celebrate us.
You are baseball.
Let’s celebrate you!
(I can’t wait to hear about your stories and to share them with our readers!)
