Yankees Perspectives: September 13, 2020 (Good News Edition)

It is interesting how a few wins can change a fan’s perspectives about a team. With four wins in a row, all is starting to seem right in the Yankees world.

The sky isn’t falling and the sun is brighter than ever.

Gerrit Cole pitched well in his last start – excellent, in fact. He’ll never lose another game this year.

Aaron Judge is coming back soon. He’ll hit 5-10 bombs in the season’s last few weeks.

Giancarlo Stanton will also return soon. He’ll also hit 5-10 homers. (Why not?)

Luke Voit is better than Mike Trout.

Aroldis Chapman has the old swagger back. No one can hit him.

Aaron Boone is the perfect manager for this team. They needed his calm optimism during their troubling times. His leadership allowed the team to not lose focus and panic.

Gleyber Torres will now be a hitting machine again. Those glasses are cool and they give him vision on par with Superman.

D.J. LeMahieu will sign a four-year deal right after the season and he’ll hit .365 over those four years.

It’s Masahiro Tanaka’s time of the season. he’s clutch. Total clutch. He never loses the big game – and they’re all big games now.

Clint Frazier is for real. Red Thunder is breaking out. He’ll be an MVP candidate in 2021.

Deivi Garcia is so good. He might be the American League Cy Young winner next year. In two years, he’ll be the Yankees’ ace.

Can you imagine how good these guys will be when Gio Urshela returns? Look out.

In the off season, the Yankees will easily trade Mike Tauchman, Aaron Hicks, and Brett Gardner for Francisco Lindor. The Indians will probably also throw in a top prospect. Or two.

October…here we come!!!!!

I’m not sure how much of all that I believe right now, but hope springs eternal and when the Yankees are winning, hope abounds.

Winning is a lot more fun than losing.

Let’s Go Yankees!

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
