YOU ARE THE GM – The Future Stars and the Manager

This is a topic that is bound to be the big talk all off-season and into the future, but it is also relevant right now.

Over the last few years, the Yankees developed a collection of young stars that were supposed to be the core of the next Yankees dynasty. For many of these players, due to injuries and other factors, 2018 has been a year of regression and disappointment. Instead of being a building block season, many of these players are now big question marks going forward.

As we prepare for the season’s final four weeks, and hopefully a long post-season, the Yankees’ management has to be looking at this current year and into the future to make determinations on this squad.

This a strong core that championships can be built around or was this dream…just a mirage?

YOU are the GM. What are your thoughts on the following players (and the manager)?

  1. Luis Severino

  2. Gary Sanchez

  3. Greg Bird

  4. Gleyber Torres

  5. Miguel Andujar

  6. Aaron Boone

In addition, one has to also be concerned how three other important players will come back from serious injuries:

  1. Jordan Montgomery

  2. Clint Frazier

  3. Aaron Judge

Which of these players inspires confidence as a player (or leader) to build around in 2019 and beyond?

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
